100% Pure Mulberry Silk Crepe de Chine in a super light weight of 10momme, perfect for silk scarves.

This fabric offers exceptional show-through with strong colours penetrating 98% to the other side so that the artwork is visible on both sides. Pastel shades aren't quite as effective for show through because they use less ink, so we recommend using strong lines and deep tones for the desired double-sided effect. 

Silk crepe de chine has only a slight amount of shine, it is mostly considered a matte fabric. Lots of people prefer this to shiny silk satin. The lack of "slipperiness" can be good for products such as hair scarves and hair ties.

Silk Crepe de chine has a natural light mechanical stretch, because of the way it is woven. This can be more noticeable after the silk is washed, with slight shrinkage. The silk can then be steamed/ironed and stretched back out if necessary. There is absolutely no spandex or elastane in this product.
